A wish

I love the way you look at me
I love the way you make me feel
I love the way you cuddle me to sleep
And not for a moment you let me slip. 

I love the way you smile at me
I love the way you tickle my waist
I love the way you call my name
And I sure hope that you feel the same.

I love the way you hold my hand
I love the way your arms around me
I love the way you caress my cheek
And brush my hair to kiss my lips.

I love my mornings with you by my side
And the way you say 'Good morning, beautiful'
I love the way you kiss me goodbye
And hug me as though you'd never let me cry.

You have no idea how you drive me insane
For who you are is everything but plain
I would love if we could last longer than this
But I guess for now, it can only stay as a wish.

Everyday from now, it's you I will miss
The "us" we had was swift and sweet
You made me feel like the flower among the weed 
Without a doubt, you freed me from my leash. 

I hope, I pray, I plead, I wish
That we will continue to be together in bliss
However in reality, it will only be in my dreams
As ironic as that seems, it's the only way "we" can be reached.

I would love if we could last longer than this
But I guess for now, it can only stay as a wish.
